Version 5.47.49.1922
Published October 2026 - See Upgrade
This release contains the following changes:
New
- Project Management:
- New Findings tab on Health check projects: position, status, Severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low), title, timeline and the two owners, with Finding and Recommendation rich-text panes and its own Evidence attachment list. The tab is keyed on the project type, not on Completed, so it is there from the day the health check is created. A new finding arrives as Medium, so severity is raised when the evidence warrants it rather than argued down from the top of the scale.
- Health check methodology extended to thirteen steps, ending on Findings and recommendations.
- Findings rows are coloured by Severity rather than by status — red, amber, green and light blue from the customer's own eftsure palette — and a Closed finding is left uncoloured.
- The findings grid now sorts Open findings above Closed ones, keeping the manual position order within each group. Backed by a new index on the findings table, so this release needs a full database synchronisation.
- Three version updates run with the upgrade and none needs starting by hand: 1905 rebuilds the stored activity hierarchy, preserving the order a project has today; 1910 collapses existing summaries once, so plans keep opening the way they did before collapse state became a stored value; and 1915 clears that stored state off activities and milestones, where it never meant anything. The version framework runs each one once.
- Generated documents:
- Word: a Findings and recommendations section, one page per finding, with the severity coloured and the evidence listed.
- PowerPoint: new Findings slides (severity, title and date, seven to a slide) and new Hypercare slides (status, title and date), so a completed project's deck reports the log as well as the plan.
- Excel: a new Findings sheet — status, severity, title, due date and both owners, with status and severity drawn as coloured chips and no icon column.
- Each section is produced only when the data exists — no findings, no heading; no hypercare entries, no slides.
- The deck carries open findings and open hypercare tasks only — a slide has no room for a status, so a closed item would read as outstanding work. Word and Excel carry the whole list and print the status against every row.
- Findings are ordered worst first (Critical down to Low) in all three outputs; hypercare keeps the position order of the tab.
- Generated files are named for the kind of document they are, and the names never change — not by project type, not after go-live: Summary for the deck, Details for the Word document, List for the workbook and Project for the MS Project file. Each carries the date it was generated, so a weekly pack files itself in order: Summary 2026 10 08.pptx. Two names changed in this release — the workbook was Activities and the deck was called Status in the status email while Save as already called the same file Summary.
- A progress window now reports which output is being generated, once the screenshots have been taken.
- Dates on the PowerPoint findings and hypercare slides now use the project's own date format, the same one Word and Excel print with, instead of the server's regional setting.
- Dates generated after about 1pm no longer read as tomorrow. The status email's subject and body, the Overview banner and a new project's Generated on line took a moment that already carried the signed-in user's time zone offset and applied the company offset to it a second time, so once local time plus the offset passed midnight the date moved on a day. Anything generated in the morning looked right, which is why it went unnoticed. All of them now convert once, from UTC, in the company time zone - the zone the generated file names use too, so a name and the date printed inside the file cannot disagree.
- An export now waits for the browser's screen-share prompt for as long as it takes. The timed rescue that used to finish the export without its pictures has been removed: a capture that cannot complete leaves the window waiting rather than handing over a document that is quietly missing its screenshots. Refresh the page to cancel.
- The activity detail tabs are hidden for a read-only user: every pane under the Activities grid writes, and what a reader needs to read is on the summary panel beside the grid and on the Budget tab.
- Three new standard styles named for what they mean rather than for their colour: At risk, Blocked and External. Existing projects pick them up through Add missing styles.
- The status update email sent after go-live now carries the deck as well, so the same four files go out before and after go-live: Summary, Details, List and Project. The attachments carry the date, the mail body names them without it.
- New data entities PESProjFindingEntity and PESProjFindingAttachmentsEntity, included in the project export and import packages, and a matching Findings entry under Open in Microsoft Office so the register can be opened in Excel directly.
- The Icon column is now editable on Summary activities, since the symbol heads the section in the Word, PowerPoint and Excel output. The icon colour stays hidden there: it only tints the Gantt bar.
