Payment methods
Eftsure ensures verification on any number of payment methods
We recommend creating at least one method of payment per country/currency We recommend enabling Eftsure on all payment methods.
Key users may configure non Eftsure verified methods of payments to process exceptions, such as employee expenses reimbursement, intercompany, etc.
Enable / disable
To enable a payment method for Eftsure, go to Accounts Payable > Payment setup > Methods of payment and the following screen will appear:
Eftsure verification can be switched on directly in Parameter > Payments (v1129 and above).
All electronic methods of payment will be displayed in green (Eftsure verified) or orange (not Eftsure verified). To enable / disable a method of payment, tick the Eftsure verification box:
In case of Eftsure server outage, turning off Eftsure verification at the payment level allows your organization to continue with payments until the outage is resolved.
Standard D365 functions to be used to create Payment account and associate new Method of payment via below menu.
Cash and bank management > Bank accounts > Bank accounts
Accounts payable > Payment setup > Methods of payment
Default methods of payment
Default payment method EFT is used when new vendor is created in each legal entity.
Verifications
The Verifications tab allows the administrator to specify which statuses are considered valid from a system point of view, allowing the payments to be generated and deciding on grid colours.
The recommended default values are Cross-matched, Self-certified and Verified, but it might be useful to allow a quick payment to a new supplier if the Accounts Payable manager has verified the account manually.
This feature may allow the payment file to be generated for unsafe statuses and therefore should be handled with care. This option will only affect the Dynamics 365 journal and payment file but won't affect payments highlighting in your bank portal by the Eftsure extension. Please use this feature with caution as it helps bypass the very reasons why your organization chose Eftsure for vendor payments protection.
