Our government lookup features were built based on customer feedback and are well received by most users for their simplicity and speed!
The following short video shows the capabilities of our BRN user interface with real time lookup and validations.
Lookup
Our BRN lookup helps end users search for BRN registry information using either a vendor name or an BRN Number.
A series of filters at the top of the lookup allows data filtering to refine search results.
Lookup by name: The results are displayed in real time.
Lookup by number: A single result is shown with details.

Once selected, BRN Numbers will be displayed like the following:
Validation
Once an BRN number is entered in the system, Eftsure inside D365 will validate the BRN number against ABR registry for number format and validation.
If the BRN entered doesn't match the appropriate BRN format, field and record level validations will fail for interactive and non-interactive sessions.
Configuration
Configure BRN services in Eftsure parameters > GovCode > Hong Kong > BRN:
Enter the details provided by HK Companies Registry.
Availability
Just like all other comfort pack tools, the BRN lookup is available everywhere an BRN / VATNumber field is available, notably in vendors, customers and legal entities.
Fees
BRN Companies Registry offers API services for free, no registration process required
BRN services rely on external (Companies office) data provider which may change/deprecate with short notice. Disable the matching service in Eftsure parameters > GovCode > Hong Kong > BRN if/when this happens. See our release notes and seek your D365 team for a version upgrade
