Requested updates
This section describes a new Vendor status (and Icon), Requested updates, which has been introduced to provide more insight on vendors synchronisation defaults.
Scenario: When vendors are saved in D365 by a user without eftsure credentials, the changes can't be synchronized from Dynamics to eftsure.
Outcome: All requested updates vendors and bank accounts will display a red verification status icon:

This scenario typically occurs when:
- An end user (without eftsure credentials) manually saves vendor or bank account,
- An external vendor (without eftsure credentials) requests a change request for a specific bank account using Vendor collaboration,
- An integration saves vendor or bank account,
- A workflow approves vendor or bank account.
Any vendor or bank account changes require Eftsure credentials to synchronize the data to Eftsure. When these credentials are missing, the processes can't interact with Eftsure and the vendor and/or bank account are then marked as Request Update(s), until an Eftsure user or key user organises for data sync with valid credentials.
The Requested updates feature is similar to Out of Sync, where the synchronisation failed from eftsure to Dynamics.
User interface
The requested updates screen is available in:
- Eftsure workspace > Vendors > All Vendors > Requested updates
- Eftsure workspace > Collaboration > Vendors > Requested change requests
The column Change request date highlights the date the change was requested, and additional information can usually be found in History.
Vendor collaboration
Vendors who have access to vendor collaboration may indicate bank account changes by requesting a change request. Such action will indicate to Eftsure users that they need to send a change request to this supplier.
A similar user interface is available in the vendor collaboration tab:
User actions
Multiple corrective user actions can be triggered:
Send Change request
When the supplier has requested a change request or someone changed vendor details, the change request process is usually the most appropriate to get the vendor to confirm the details on file.
Once the change request has been completed successfully, the bank account will turn back to green.
This solution is only available for customers using onboardings.
For vendor collaboration, change requests can be set per vendor group to automatically send change requests via batches. Our 'external change requests' batch runs every 5min.
See Parameters > Vendor group > Vendor collaboration > Options > Auto Approve
Send Verification
When the supplier has requested a change request or someone changed vendor details, the verification process can also be used to get the vendor to confirm the details on file.
Once a verification has been completed successfully, the bank account will turn back to green.
This solution is only available for customers using verifications.
Update eftsure
When someone without Eftsure credentials (such as another user, a service account, the workflow account, data migration...) the latest information needs to be updated in Eftsure by someone who has permission to do so, usually an end user or key user.
If the changes are valid History, then please send all bank accounts using Eftsure menu > Sync > To eftsure.
Once the update completes, the requested updates flag is cleared, and the bank account verification status is updated.
Clear / revert changes
If the vendor or bank account changes are incorrect or malicious, users can revert the changes back to the original value and use the Clear button to remove the requested update flag.
Recommendations
For Vendor collaboration requests, we recommend sending a change request either manually or using our batch.
For Data migration requests, we recommend sending all records to eftsure.
For Malicious requests, we recommend reverting changes back to the original version.
